Get Animated! Family Programs in the Confederation Centre Art Gallery

October 29, 2012

(Charlottetown) – In honour of International Animation Day on Sunday November 4, Confederation Centre is serving up some of Canada’s finest animation, with offerings from up-and-coming filmmakers as well as some of the world’s most accomplished directors. Through its Get Animated! program, the National Film Board is bringing the magic of animation to communities across the country, with special screenings and workshops to help you make your own animated films.

The whole family is welcome for a day of events offering kid-friendly animation fun for all. On November 4 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. there will be a screening of the Not So Scary Stories program of animated films in the Confederation Centre Art Gallery. The screening is perfect for those five and up and features a delightful modern fairy tale, as well as the quirky story of a six-year-old who collects sounds. The afternoon will be complete with animation fun including the making of flip books and drawings. All is presented free of charge. So come join the Confederation Centre Art Gallery and get animated!
