AuditionsChildren of Avonlea auditions for “Anne of Green Gables”Artistic Director Anne Allan will be holding auditions for the Children of Avonlea for the 2012 production of "Anne of Green Gables". These auditions will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd beginning at 5 p.m. - Studio 2, Confederation Centre. We are looking to cast 6 dynamic young people (boys and girls) between the ages of 8 and 12. Applicants must not be taller than 4 foot 8 inches. Audition requirements: • Successful applicants are asked to book an audition time in advance (by contacting Cindy via e-mail at criley@confederationcentre.com or by telephone @ 628-6102). Auditionees must come to the audition prepared with one song of choice (an accompanist will be provided - please bring sheet music in the correct key) and be prepared to sing Ice-Cream! In addition, attendance at a group dance audition will be required. We ask everyone to come prepared for a one-hour time frame. Rehearsal time demands: Rehearsal demands will begin the week of June 4th and successful applicants must make themselves available for this particular week. After this point and while kids will still be in school, they may not be called every day for rehearsal, BUT, they will need to be completely available every day, from June 11th onward (up until opening July 4th) for the following hours: Monday - Friday 3:30 - 6 p.m; Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Full time for all tech and dress rehearsals (exact dates to be confirmed) Summertime Commitment: Successful applicants will have a demanding role to play, with more show involvement than in past years and must be available for the full summer - to September 26th (based on 4 shows per week - Monday, Tuesday evenings and a matinee and evening performance on Wednesdays). Children need to come dressed comfortably, ready to sing and dance. |
